1. Descry
2. Jezebel
3. Schtick
4. Ricochet
5. Castigate
6. Loafer
7. Decipher
8. Yearning
9. Juncture
10. Notorious

Day 29 – Favorite TV shows and why you like them

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit - I grew up watching this show with my father and grandfather because my grandfather would use this show to learn English and give us something to talk about and bond over. Even after his visits and he went back to Hungary, I would continue watching the show. After he passed away, the show always reminded me of those small moments with him and how I will always cherish them.

Other shows include Biggest Loser, How I Met Your Mother and Private Practice. They are all entertaining and shows that keep me intrigued. If the show doesn't reel me in and keep me focused I get bored and move on to another show.

Job vs Passion, Who Wins?

Day 27- My day job verses my passion
This is a question I ask myself everyday; what is my passion? And to be honest, I have no idea. They say most people often change majors/career paths at least two to three times in college. So true, I started as a biology major and ended up in business. After graduation I was truly dead set on finding a job in marketing. Soon realizing that with the economy being in the state that it is in, any "real job" (aka not retail) would be a great stepping stone to something better later on. Taking a temporary position in something nothing to do with what my passion was, Environmental Health and Safety, I have put forth all my dedication and (as much) knowledge as I can to this job; and you know what, I'm really enjoying what I do. Learning something new everyday excites me and I'm always eager to lending a helping hand as to continue learning from those more experienced than me in this field. So my passion is currently business/marketing, but honestly that seems to be changing. Into what you may ask? Well let me get back to you.

Strange Contents

Day 25- What I would find in your bag

Funny this question happened today, the day where I have the most (and random) stuff in my bag (backpack today):
- Computer with charger and mouse
- Passport (didn't get a chance to take it out yet)
- A stretchy toy frog (compliments of my coworkers when we went to Dave & Buster's in Orlando)
- Pictures (ones I found and wanted when in Hungary to keep/put up at work)
- Gym clothes
- Gloves (although such a nice day out, I don't need them)
- The usual (wallet, phone, chapstick, etc.)
- Work ID
- Lunch container & fork

That's it I think...

Pairs of 2 it Seems...

Day 23- Something you crave a lot

Hmm what I crave a lot... I don't usually have a constant craving for something/someone but I would say things that I always enjoy are friends/company of good people, french fries and a cozy couch/bed. I am definitely not a home-body or someone who likes a lot of alone time so I always enjoy spending time with people. This is probably why I always have 5 different things usually going on at a time in my life because I like change and am not a fan of patterns. French fries and potatoes in any form are one of my favorite foods so I always enjoy them.

Day 24- Post your favorite quote or verse of scripture and why

“Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss
One should be greatful for all things they experience and not cry over it. Crying can only do so much before you begin to think of the happy things/times associated with the event that occured.

What Makes You Happy/Different

As soon as I read these two questions the song that plays in Princess Diaries pops into my head.. random I know.

Day 21- A picture of something that makes you happy

Day 22- What makes you different from everyone else

I am not sure what makes me different from everyone else, this is tough. I'd like to think that I am very dedicated and passionate to my friends more than others. But this is also applicable to qualities and traits that I look for in my friends and have been passed on through my family, so I can't really say what exactly makes me different from everyone else I know.

Oh the Memories

Day 19- Write about a sweet memory from your past

Probably one of my favorite memories would be living in the "Dr Seuss" house in San Francisco. Dr Seuss you may ask? Well the two story house I lived in with Jackie, Rachel (two sorority sisters) and Kim (Rachel's good friend from home) literally was slanted. Every room on the top floor slanted a bit towards the front door. Jackie and I shared the room downstairs behind the garage and that was even worse. One could sit in a desk chair and roll from one side to the other it slanted that much. Although the house had its quirks, I loved the memories made during the 7 months I had lived there after taking me in from a horrible previous situation. From having friends over, to lounging around on weekends, there was always laughter and joy brought to that house. It will never be forgotten out of the many of houses and roommates I had during my 4 years of college.

Day 20- Write a letter to someone

Dear Ted,
Thank you for being an amazing boss who has such faith in me. If it wasn't for you giving me the opportunity to work with you at 30 Rock in New York, I don't know where I would be. I am so greatful for the chance to prove to you my hard work, dedication, willingness to learn and being able adapt to changes. When I put my mind to something, I will do whatever it takes to prove it true. You have always believed in me and still do to this day. Being able to have a boss that is not only your boss, but a friend to count on is such a plus and I truly appreciate it. As we said in Orlando, you're my "in case of emergency contact" and it is true. If we didn't have this kind of relationship I don't think I would be able to count on you to be there for me.

This is not the most eloquent letter but ultimately it comes down to this: thank you for being you; as a boss, as a person and as a friend.

My Wish

Day 18- Plans/dreams/goals you have

Plans/goals/dreams I have for myself are widespread. A few of the major ones are: Pursuing a career which I love, whether the career was what I originally had in mind or not - this is has been true since starting with NBCUniversal after finishing college. Moving home and getting a temporary position in a department I had not pursued in college may have been one of the biggest chances I have taken. And well, it has paid off; not only did I end up landing a full time position, I really do love what I do. My boss has been the greatest influence, help and inspiration for me in accomplishing this goal. Another dream is to get married and raise a family that will be surrounded by the love and inspiration my family shows. Those would be the two biggest plans/dreams/goals I have in life and anything else that comes up along the way will be added to my list.

Major Catch Up Time

Day 8- Short term goals for this month and why

10 days into March and I've already accomplished a few goals on my list. 1) Finish my taxes (with a refund too!). 2) Sign up for The Color Run (still waiting for the registration to open). 3) Successfully complete the work project I went to Orlando for (check!).

Day 9- Something you’re proud of in the past few days

In the past few days I am proud of myself for completing my Orlando work trip on a high note as well as successfully being able to make it to Hungary in time for my grandmother's funeral services. RIP Marta Koroly Tarnok, may you rest in peace.  Being able to be there for my family and support one another was the biggest thing I wanted to be there for.

Day 10- Songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped, mad

My taste in music varies on the day. Usually it's in the country, rock, pop or oldies genre and the songs vary on the mood I am in. My happy/bored/hyped music contains a lot of upbeat pop/top 40 music as it is usually the best kind to get you going. When I am mad/sad I usually listen to soft rock/slow country songs to chill out and get my mind off things.

Day 11- Write a bucket list of things you want to do before you die

This list will be never ending as I think of things but some for now are:
1. Visit the Great Barrier Reef
2. Go skydiving
3. Travel all 50 of the United States

Day 12- Write a poem to someone you love (I'm not a poet, so I found one I like)

It’s So Hard To Believe That You’re Really Gone
And To Know That We Will No Longer
See Your Smiling Face,
Or Hear The Sound Of You’re Laughter
You Left So Many Memories, Which Will Never Part
You Will Always Live Deep Inside Our Hearts
We Are Thankful That God Graced Us
With Someone As Special As You
It’s Just Hard To Believe
Your Life On Earth Is Really Through - RIP Nagymama

Day 13- Your 5 favorite books and why

1. Cat in the Hat - come on, it is a classic
2. Uncle Tom's Cabin - a great historical related book
3. Get back to me on the rest

Day 14- A picture of you and your family

Day 15- Put your ipod on shuffle: first 10 songs that play

1. Destiny's Child - Survivor
2. Rascal Flatts - Breakaway
3. Lifehouse - Whatever It Takes
4. Carrie Underwood - Undo It
5. Zac Brown Band - Different Kind of Fine
6. Zac Brown Band - Mary
7. Bewitched - C'est La Vie
8. Semisonic - Closing Time
9. Creed - Beautiful
10. Carrie Underwood - What Can I Say

Day 16- A picture of yourself

Me at the Statue of Liberty for the first time when my dad came to visit.

Day 17- Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

Someone I would want to switch lives for a day would be, well no one. I enjoy the live that I am living and love those who are surrounded by me in my life. I think there are positives and negatives to wanting to switch lives with someone. Popular people like the president, celebrity, etc. would be too much of a challenege for me to fullfill.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Day 7- A picture of someone/something that has had the biggest impact on you

My friends here in New York have made the biggest impact on me since moving here. Meeting people can be very hard and once I established those connections, I knew I had made friends for life. Without having these group of friends I don't know where I would be today. With recent events that have occurred in my life, I am truly greatful to have great friends to lean on in times of need/saddness/happiness/etc.

I want to thank all my friends for being there for me, for helping me grow everyday, for opening me up to awhole new world of things to explore and for just being my friend. If it wasn't for meeting Ben and Ann Marie the first day of trivia in July 2011, I wouldn't have met the greatest, funniest and smartest group of friends here in New York.
Here's to my friends: Ann Marie, Ben, Tom, Kevin, Janssen, Christie, Nicki, Ilana, Lori, Jacob, Kelly, Beth, Josh, Michelle

"You were the one who made things different, you were the one who took me in. You were the one thing I could count on, above all, you were my friend." - Tom Petty

Day 8- Short term goals for this month and why

Well since it is the last day of February, I will list my short term goals for March:
- Pay off remainder of my credit card
- Successfully complete the most important project I have been working on at work
- Officially sign up for my first 5K

Day 9- Something you’re proud of in the past few days

Something I have been proud of the past few days is going to a California State University (CSU) Alumni event for the tri-state area. I was sent an email a few months back regarding the event and didn't expect much from the event, and so really didn't think about it. I recieved a reminder email about a month ago and decided to register. Arriving Monday night at the University Club I was expecting two things, to not meet many San Francisco State alumni and to also be one of very few recent graduates. My expectations definitely were not true. I was one of many who recently graduated and had come to New York for either graduate school or work. Also, surpisingly I met the SFSU Alumni President as well as at least 15 other SFSU graduates. The event was definitely a success and now I plan to be involved in SFSU alumni events when the occur in the city.
