Mets Opening Day

Let's go Mets! A bunch of friends of mine are Mets fans and awhile back invited the rest of us to opening day if we wanted to go. Me, neither a die hard Mets or Yankees fan, agreed to go. With an early start to the day consisting of getting to the field, finding a place to park and then pre-gaming for the couple hours before first pitch/opening ceremonies was a wonderful blur. Surrounded among Mets fans always puts one in the sporting spirit, a borrowed Mets shirt to wear also helped. I always love the feeling of a sunny, breezy day of sitting in the stands surrounded by baseball fans. Whether you're cheering for the home team or not. Not only was I able to take the day off, my boss brought his two sons to the game as well, who I met up with for a few innings. Mets came out on top for opening day against the Atlanta Braves winning 1-0. Third Mets game and second Mets vs Braves game (my first Mets game was also against the Braves) later, I have a 2-1 winning record. After a long exhausting day, I rejoiced with the Mets fans and headed home. Thanks to Tom for remembering I wanted to go. Here's to many more Mets games!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Happy April! As they say April showers bring May flowers, let's hope this is not true. I miss the sun of spring time and don't want too much rain. March was probably the craziest month of 2012 so far, mainly in a bad way and I am so glad it is over. With the start of April, it brings a new fresh start to the month and I'm looking forward to a few things to get closer:

1. Start of baseball season - already going to two games this month alone :D
2. Being able to see my family in two weeks although not for the greatest reason.
3. April being here means summer, my first cruise and my birthday are closer!

So here is to a new month of memories, laughter and happiness with friends and family.
