- Making it to the bus stop right before the bus shows up (not running to catch it)
- A relaxing night in with friends doing absolutely nothing
- Free coffee/juice at work (some mornings just wouldn't be the same)
- Spontaneous free meals
- Sunflowers
- The smell of fresh baked cookies
- A comment that makes my day

The Little Things in Life
They say to cherish the little things in life and I totally agree. As I was on the bus this morning listening to Pandora on the way to work, I was thinking of all the little things (quirky, silly, simple, etc.) that I enjoy:

The Art of Communication
So as you can tell, I'm not a great blogger. I'm not exactly 100% sure why I even started blogging. Part of it has to do with the fact that I use to write in high school all the time when I was editor in chief of the newspaper. Once that stopped and I was forced to write about certain topics in college, the joy of writing what I wanted dwindled away. Now that college is over and I have the time to write about what I want/feel, the joy has started to return. But after so many years of not having much freedom in what I could write, coming up with ideas to blog about becomes difficult.

Holidays Update
It's been awhile since I've written, with the end of the year and holidays upon me I haven't had much time to write.
The Secret Santa exchange among all of my friends was an amazing way to start the holidays. Celebrating the holidays and finding out my Secret Santa was something I'll never forget. After much anticipation I was excited to find out that Val was my Secret Santa. I got scrap booking stuff that I really wanted, as I have been meaning to start scrap booking my adventures with BDHOF (on my to do list). Tom surprised us all and gave everyone their own gift as well. Thanks Tom for my new Rangers shirt (that actually fits unlike my free LARGE shirt my dad gave me)! We ourselves surprised Tom as well with a few gifts in appreciation for all that he has done for us over the past 7+ months and many more to come. Ilana, Christie, Ann Marie and I started thinking and got creative/personal. Results: a puzzle of Tom and Diego (his adorable dog), a few dog toys for Diego and a home made photo collage of all of the events/memories we've had with Tom. I love making gifts, so seeing the happy smile on Tom's face when he opened his presents made it all worth it.
Spending a week in California with all of my family including my grandmother from Hungary was the best present I could ever ask for. I haven't seen my grandmother since 2007, so being able to spend some quality time with her and the rest of my family was amazing. We even had Christmas dinner on the patio since it was a warm 80 degress on Christmas Day.
In addition to spending time with family I was able to see a few friends that I haven't seen in what seemed like ages. Franco even suprised me when he showed up at Tony's birthday at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was great to see him as well as Tony, Kris and Eerin. Always a good time catching up with old friends, especially in person.
What a great holiday season this was, here's to many more.
