Goodbye July

I can't believe another month has already ended; goodbye July, hello August. July seemed to go by in the blink of an eye, even though I feel like it didn't most days. But here's to the many things going on in August! This week alone I have the trivia playoffs (yay O-Faces for bar champs!), my best friend Raquel's wedding and being able to spend a few days at home. I'm also happy to see my parents as they will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this week as well. In addition, kickball continues with games and playoffs, which I hope we make. Of course I'll be at least at one Mets game, beer garden and happy hour between now and the end of the month. Lastly, the one thing that I am most looking forward to is The Color Run 5K with Nikki, Ann Marie and Kerri. After seeing/hearing so many good things about this 5K, I am so excited and ready to go. Here's to August!

Dear Monday

Dear Monday, haven't posted about you in awhile so here's an update.

Dear Raquel and Jose, I can't believe you're getting married in less than 3 weeks. I am so happy for your both and can't wait to share in your special day.

Dear A/C at work, I am so glad you are fixed; a little too cold for me but I'll take it.

Dear summer weekends, why do you have to go by so fast?

Dear baseball games, you are so fun and a great way to meet people.

People Watching

It's funny when you sit somewhere for long enough and start to people watch. Killing time in a Starbucks waiting to go watch a movie with a friend, I saw many types of people: tourists, families, employees of businesses nearby, etc. Spotted a cute little family with a little boy bouncing his ball around, a retired couple googling apartments on their iPad and those normal customers who come in to study/read.

It is always fun to imagine what those people do for a living or make up a story about how they came to this Starbucks. I could people watch for hours.

Joyous July

Happy July! It is crazy that it's already July again, I felt like I was ringing in the New Year just yesterday. July means many things: BBQ's, 4th of July celebrations/fireworks, the beach, birthdays, beer gardens, trivia, kickball, baseball games and so much more. I LOVE summer.

There are so many things to do in New York City in the summer time, free movies in the park, Coney Island, the zoo, etc. I plan to knock some items off my bucket list. Let's see how many I can cross off!

Some other goals for the month of July:
1) Buy plane tickets for both my cousin's wedding in Austin in November and my good friend Laura's wedding in Paso Robles, CA in October.
2) Make it to as many birthday, going away, and "just because" events that I get invited to. I plan to get out of the house as much as I can and enjoy this wonderful city.
3) Try to reach out and make 5 new friends, whether through kickball that starts up again next week or when I am out in the city.
